It's been a hectic summer for Grace Vanderwaal's Mother Tina VanderWaal.
Grace, her youngest daughter, went from Suffern Middle School student to international stardom with a large fan base, a record deal with Simon Cowell, and, of course, that big triumph on "AGT" in just a few months.

The 12-year-old singing phenom and ukulele player has been making the rounds in the media, duetting with host Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," captivating Kathy Lee and Hoda on "The Today Show," and delivering her debut song for "Ellen," "I Don't Know My Name."

Her mother is always by her side, helping her with homework and giving her a mom hug when she needs it.

Tina VanderWaal spoke with us about what it was like before and after Grace's big win on "AGT," how the family is dealing with Grace's new celebrity status, and if Grace will receive her treehouse.

Tina VanderWaal commented, "No one expected anything like this to happen." She said "When it looked like it was going to happen, they just took it day by day."

Grace Vanderwal's mother and sister Olivia, have been in Los Angeles since Grace's "American got talent" win on September 14 for guest appearances. Dave, the father, is at home, while Jakob, the younger brother, is a student at Camden Military Academy. The 12-year-old has decided to enroll in an online school and will not be returning to Suffern Middle School this autumn.

Grace's big parade and homecoming, which is slated for Saturday in her birthplace, will bring the family back to Suffern.

She said that, they have been working with tutors at agencies since the beginning," she continued. "They have taken a lot of their suggestions to heart. We have never considered homeschooling and are simply following the advice of the experts."

It's been a juggling act traveling with Grace Vanderwaal while also need to manage rest of her family, which includes Grace Vanderwaal's 17year old brother, who attends Camden Military Academy, and her 16 year old sister Olivia, who attends a Rockland school.

VanderWaal intends to work from home in order to maintain a sense of normalcy for her family.

As she is self employed so she still going to work." she also said that, she wanted to keep her lives and Olivia's lives as normal as possible.
